The Bergvilla Boutique Hotel: small, charming, and personal
Located on the sunny southern slope of Dafins, this house combines two things that rarely go hand in hand: absolute tranquility and a central location. The Vorarlberg Rhine Valley—including Feldkirch, Rankweil, and Dornbirn—lies at your feet—yet it’s far enough away that you can’t hear a thing.
Why only six rooms?
Because peace and quiet require space. The Bergvilla was deliberately designed as a small hotel in Vorarlberg: six rooms and suites, spacious common areas, a sprawling garden—and never more than a handful of guests. That way, the lounge chair by the natural swimming pond stays free, the sauna is often all yours, and by the second morning, the host already knows your favorite coffee.
Spaces That Breathe
A light-filled salon with a library and a cozy fireplace atmosphere, the south-facing terrace with panoramic views of the Rhine Valley, a covered lounge for balmy evenings, and the natural paradise garden with sunny spots and secluded nooks for couples: The Bergvilla offers in every square meter what other hotels build a wellness wing for—space for yourself.
On the top floor, you’ll find the indoor pool, which is heated year-round and features floor-to-ceiling windows and a south-facing view; the garden includes a natural swimming pond and a panoramic sauna. You can find all the details on the Wellness & Private Spa page.

Who is the Bergvilla designed for?
For couples looking for a wellness weekend for two. For solo travelers who don’t want to spend their evenings sitting in an anonymous hotel bar. For active travelers who hike, bike, or play golf during the day and want to relax in the sauna in the evening. And for anyone on business in Vorarlberg who’d rather stay in a quiet setting than at a city hotel. Children are welcome in the suites—but thanks to the small number of rooms, the hotel remains a peaceful retreat.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Wellness Services
Do I need to book my spa admission online in advance, or can I just drop by?
You can drop by at any time and purchase your ticket directly at the on-site ticket office. Advance reservations are not required for same-day admission. Tip for unpredictable weather: Since our wellness area is very popular on rainy days in winter or in the late afternoon, it’s worth arriving early to secure a spot.
Are towels and a bathrobe included in the admission price, or do I have to bring my own?
You can leave your spa gear at home or at the hotel—no need to worry about it. For a small rental fee and a deposit, you can rent cozy bathrobes and extra-large sauna towels right here at the front desk. Of course, you’re also welcome to bring your own favorite items.
Is there a strict dress code in the sauna area, or is it a nude area?
To ensure a healthy and hygienic sweating experience, our sauna area is operated as a traditional, clothing-free zone (admission for ages 16 and up). In the sauna rooms and steam rooms, you’ll sit without swimwear—but always on a large towel to keep sweat from getting on the wood. Outside the cabins, in the hallways and relaxation areas, simply wrap yourself in your sauna towel or wear a bathrobe.
